Our first season began back in the summer of 2002 with the Island Escape cruise liner delighting holidaymakers in the Mediterranean and Brazil. Since then we've successfully improved the service provided to customers looking for cruise holidays so much so that we launched our second ship, Island Star, in 2005 to great acclaim.

We've always aimed to provide our customers with a relaxed, friendly & informal cruise experience, pioneering the ideals which have made cruise holidays the fastest growing travel sector in the UK. The friendly service we're now famous for has helped to cement our position as the natural choice for first time cruisers & seasoned veterans alike.

In 2007 First Choice merged with travel company TUI to become TUI Travel. The new company kept its 50 percent stake in Island Cruises with Royal Caribbean maintaining the other 50 percent.

Our growing fleet now sails in the Mediterranean during the summer and to date has spent the winter in the tropical waters of Brazil. However from December 2008 we're expanding our offering with Caribbean cruise itineraries being introduced on the Island Star in the winter to give our customers more choice & provide even more exciting & diverse year-round cruise holidays.

Since it all began in 2002 we've always been looking to improve the cruise line experience for our customers; our decision to bring comedy club Jongleurs aboard the Island Star and our flexible no dress code dining options highlight how we've always put the customer first and will continue to do so in the years to come.
