BUDDY MORROW, conductor of the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, is recognized as one of the all-time great trombone players. He first came to prominence as a featured performer with such leading orchestras as Tommy Dorsey, Paul Whiteman, Artie Shaw and Jimmy Dorsey. His outstanding musicianship has been evident through the years, not only in the world of Big Bands, but also as a featured artist with symphonies as well as jazz groups. Buddy was also in demand for the recording industry and active as a staff musician and leader with many of the major radio and television shows.
HERB OSCAR ANDERSON, original NYC Morning Mayor Herb Oscar Anderson has been a radio music personality and budding creator of new station formats “right out of high school” graduating to morning drive shows with lots of sweet talk for the housewives. Famous for his “top of the hour singing “Hello again, here’s my best to you. Are your skies all gray? I hope they’re blue,” Herb is the perfect Emcee for our Big Band sounds cruises!
LORRI HAFER, has toured worldwide as featured vocalist with the Glenn Miller Orchestra and with Les Brown’s Band of Renown - onstage in Branson and on tour nationwide. Most recently, she has been featured guest vocalist with Buddy Morrow and The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. Lorri, a founding member of the Hillside Singers, was the lead vocalist on the worldwide hit, “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing” and recently featured on the PBS TV special, “American Soundtrack: The Folk Rock Years II”.
MICHELLE ANASTASIO, has done it all...from featured vocalist at the legendary Roseland Ballroom in New York, to nightclub appearances in Atlantic City, to the resident national anthem singer at New York Giants stadium, to appearing off-Broadway in the Joseph Papp production of “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg”. Michele is also the singing voice behind familiar commercials such as the California Raisins and Jordache Jeans. Michele’s worldwide hit, “Hold My Hand” has been recorded in 15 languages, and she is most proud of the opportunity she has had to perform her song at the Pentagon.
